Vintage Cosmetics Advertisements

My friend Kate is over from Australia at the moment and she recently popped in to Vinmag in Soho to  pick up some vintage magazines to frame.

I had a leaf through them and found a load of beautiful and at times, hilarious, cosmetics advertisements and thought it might be nice to share them here on the blog.

These ads are from 'Picturegoer' magazine editiones published in 1956 & 1957.

    Loved every bit of this post. The eyeshadow article was so funny:) I imagine how it will be like 50 or 60 years into the future. Our blogs and magazines will be considered quite funny and the claims of most cosmetic companies quite far fetching :)
